Was Tien considered a valuable fighter in the Android/Cell saga

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga N/A	Sure Tien wasn't the most powerful during the android/cell saga, but he made up for that through his confidence and bravery. He was always up there on the fronline unlike Yamcha and Krillen. Don't get me started about Yamcha, throughout the saga he kept complaining and finding a way to run away from the battle. Which is the complete opposite of what Tien was. This made Tien shine from the rest of the humans. I remember when Goku became SSJ in front of androids 19 & 20 just before he fought android 19. He specifically told Tien and Piccolo not to fight. You could easily tell both Piccolo and Tien were confident and ready to jump in and assist Goku.

But other than that, he was outclassed by every villain.

How many times has he put his life on the line or being willing to die with the odds massively against him? In Dragonball he was going to sacrifice himself to stop King Piccolo by using the evil containment wave and sealing him in a prison in order to redeem himself for the evil things he'd done. Google Favourite Manga Dragonball Z	Tien, gohan and trunks is my favourite charecters in the db universe for one reason, yes, goku is very confident, and always finds a way to beat the odds, but he always get a helping hand, like the kaio-ken vs vegeta, ssj against frieza, ssj2 against vegeta majin, ssj3 against buu, the fusion, he always have some sort of power to back him up, the kameha wave against demon piccolo, the magic water to bring his power to evenly match piccolo, and so forth, ssj 4 against baby, tien, gohan and trunks, they are not that strong, maby gohan with his power boost, but the three of them, they give it their all, every day, they know they can instantly get beaten to a pulp, but they have never backed down, they try and try until they win or die or get omibilsed, look at tien, he tried to help with demom piccolo, he got his arm ripped off by nappa, but he still tried to fight, he held back cell to buy some time, he tried to fight buu, he was alway ready tom jump in when the goku or gohan or whoever needed help, no matter how strong the opponent was, he had the balls to jump in and help, he is one of the greatest fighters ever, why, because even when krillin is readyb the get out of the fight, he stands his ground...if goku have not existed, gohan would obviosly not exist, and i think if so, tien would have been the hero of the story, and im sorry to say, goku being the hero all the time really irritates me
